We keep our guest list intentionally small. Bark Inn has ten private suites, and we deliberately board well below the number a facility our size could hold.
No. Regular boarding reservations have a two-night minimum. The required Overnight Trial Stay for prospective new guests is the exception.
No. Bark Inn specialises in overnight boarding.
Yes. Bark Inn is home-based and your caregivers live on the property.
Maybe. We carefully match compatible dogs based on temperament, size, energy level, play style and behaviour. Dogs are never placed together simply because they are boarding at the same time, and dogs who prefer individual attention can enjoy their stay without group play.
Yes. Guests must be comfortable settling within their designated suite.
Yes. Guests must be reliably house trained and cannot persistently mark indoors.
Adult male dogs must meet our current neutering requirements. Puppy exceptions may apply based on age.
Current veterinary documentation for rabies, DHPP/distemper and bordetella. Preventative health requirements also apply.
Yes. Our resident cats have access to a secured catio area, so dogs staying at Bark Inn must demonstrate safe behaviour around them.
Many routine oral and topical medications can be accommodated. Medication needs must be disclosed in advance, and medications must meet our packaging and instruction requirements.
Eligible siblings from the same household may be able to share a suite. Suitability depends on size, behaviour and comfort, and Bark Inn determines final sleeping arrangements.
Your booking confirmation provides complete packing instructions. Generally: your dog’s food, leash and collar, any required medications, and anything else we have specifically asked for.
Guests receive frequent outdoor opportunities throughout the day, based on our normal routine, the weather and individual needs.
Yes. We use multiple indoor and outdoor cameras for supervision, safety and security.
We don’t provide routine in-person tours through active boarding areas. Unfamiliar visitors can unnecessarily excite or stress boarding guests, and protecting a calm environment is one of our priorities. We’re happy to share current photos and video instead.
We’ll let you know if we determine Bark Inn isn’t the right environment for your dog. Different dogs thrive in different care settings, and trial decisions are made on safety and suitability.
Boarding care operates throughout the weekend, but we are closed for all drop-off and pick-up appointments on Saturdays.

Please don’t arrive without an appointment. Bark Inn is a private, home-based boarding facility rather than a public-access kennel. For the safety and comfort of our boarding guests, resident animals and household, all visits, drop-offs and pick-ups must be arranged in advance.
New guests begin with registration and a required Overnight Trial Stay. Approved families can request their next stay any time.
